Casino is filled with captivating themes and characters. The attention to detail in Ace and Nicky’s relationship, for example, is some of the best writing in the film. The scumbag plotline of Nicky turning into a bloodhound after Ginger is utterly compelling as well. The film also reveals how Vegas became bigger than the mafia could handle.
